We're just starting to explore making Evertold Films for kids and are so excited about it! We want to capture their big dreams, funny observations and all that brilliant energy they have.

If you've got a little one who loves to chat and you'd like to be part of helping us figure this out, we'd love to hear from you. We’re offering the first few completely free as we learn and develop our process.

FAQs

After some more details about how things work? We’ve answered a few questions that we get asked frequently.

If you can’t find the answer to a question you have, get in touch at hello@evertoldfilms.com

  • The whole day takes about 2-3 hours total. We start by arriving and getting to know each other, then finding the perfect spot to set up for the interview. This takes around 30 minutes. The interview itself runs between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how much your loved one has to share.

After that, we take a 15-minute break while we pack down, then spend another 30 minutes to an hour capturing them just being themselves. This could look like doing an activity they enjoy or interacting with other family members. It's a relaxed pace with no rushing - we want everyone to feel at ease and comfortable throughout the day.

  • Of course! We can film wherever they feel most comfortable - your home, a meaningful location or anywhere that works for your family. We just need somewhere quiet with decent lighting. We can work out the best spot together during planning.

  • It's a simple form that helps us get to know the person we'll be filming before we arrive. We'll ask about their personality, interests, and what makes them tick, so we can tailor our questions to bring the best out of them.

We also cover practical things like mobility and comfort needs, what time of day works best for them, any topics they'd prefer to avoid, and whether there are any specific questions you'd love us to ask. Plus logistics like access to your home and the best setup for filming.

  • We send you a simple guide that covers everything you need to know for a smooth filming day. It includes practical tips like what to wear on camera (and what to avoid), how to prepare your space for the best lighting and sound, an example set of questions that we might ask and what to expect throughout the day. We also include suggestions for helping your loved one feel comfortable and relaxed before we arrive.

It's all the little things that make a big difference to how the day goes and how great the final film looks.

  • Our questions focus on who your loved one is now and what matters to them, rather than a lifestory/memoir approach.

We ask a mix of questions that range from lighthearted ones like "Who would you love to have for dinner and why?" to more thought-provoking ones like "What's the recipe for a good life?" We also ask thoughtful follow-up questions based on your answers and can include any specific questions your family would love us to ask.

You'll get a more complete set of example questions in your Filming Day Guide so there are no surprises. The goal is to create a natural conversation that brings out your personality and perspective.

  • Life happens, and we completely understand that plans can change - especially when it comes to older family members who might not be feeling well on the day. We're flexible with rescheduling and won't charge you anything extra if you need to move the date.

We just ask for as much notice as possible so we can adjust our schedule. If something comes up last minute, don't stress - we'll work it out together.

  • Most shy people forget the camera's there once we start chatting! We use question cards they can read themselves, then follow up naturally from there - it helps them feel more in control.

We take our time, keep things conversational, and can chat with them beforehand if that helps put them at ease.

Let’s make something meaningful together.

We're in the early days of Evertold, working with just a handful of families and offering a special rate as we grow. If there's someone you love who you'd want to capture just as they are, reach out. We'd love to hear about them.
