We can’t wait to film an Evertold Film with you!
We’ve put together the following Filming Day Guide to share with you some info on how the day will run, what to expect in the interview and a few tips to help you feel comfortable.
Filming Day Info
First things first… thank you! We’re so excited to work on this film with you. Your loved ones have organised this because they want to capture you just as you are right now, and it’s a real privilege for us to help make that happen.
What we’re creating together will mean the world to them. A film where they can see your expressions, hear your voice and keep hold of the little things that make you, you. We’ve made sure the whole process feels relaxed and enjoyable for you too, so we can’t wait to sit down and have a chat.

Your filming day will take around 2–3 hours, moving at a relaxed pace. Here’s how it usually flows:
Arrival & Set-Up (30 minutes): We’ll spend a little time getting to know each other and finding the best spot to film. Then we’ll quietly set up our lights, camera, and sound.
The Conversation (30–60 minutes): This is a guided chat designed to bring out your personality and share your life perspectives at this time. Breaks are welcome whenever you need them.
Pack Down & Break (15 minutes): While we tidy up our gear, you can stretch, grab a cuppa, or take a breather.
Capturing Life (30–60 minutes): To round out the day, we’ll film you in your element — enjoying an activity, spending time with family or perhaps showing us some of your favourite keepsakes.

The best preparation is simply to come as you are. We’re not looking for polished answers or a perfect look. We want to capture you in all of your every day greatness.
Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable and like yourself (avoid wearing stripes and clothing with logos or text if possible as they don’t always show up well on camera).
If you normally use glasses, hearing aids, mobility aids, or anything else, please bring them along. They’re part of your everyday life and story.
We’ll help find a quiet, comfortable spot for filming, whether that’s at home, a friend’s place, or another space that feels right.
-
Think of this as a relaxed chat. There are no scripts and no need to rehearse or perform. Pauses, laughter, and emotions are all welcome. These moment are what will make your film feel authentically you.
Our questions focus on who you are now and what matters to you. They’re a mix of lighthearted prompts and deeper reflections, with thoughtful follow-ups along the way. We can also include any specific questions your family would love us to ask.
You’ll receive a list of example questions ahead of time so there are no surprises.
-
We’ll carefully craft your conversation and the moments around it into a five-minute film that reflects you as you are in this season of life. If there’s anything you or your family would like adjusted, we’ll make edits before it’s final.
